How CSP providers scale their operations on C3

Since implementing C3, our monthly invoicing is far less time-consuming and much less error-prone. We went from a two to three day invoicing cycle to completing everything in four hours, making our CSP reseller business more efficient and predictable.”

C3 helped solve the most pressing challenges we faced as a CSP provider, making subscription management and billing faster and easier with minimal effort. Our team was most impressed by the marketplace access and self-service that let customers purchase, provision and manage cloud resources.”
What can wehelp you find?
What distributors ask about managing Microsoft CSP resellers on one platform.

What is reseller network management in Microsoft CSP?
It is the recurring work a distributor (indirect provider) does for every reseller in its channel: validating the reseller with Microsoft, setting the prices it pays, controlling what it can order, billing it each cycle and measuring the margin it produces. C3 runs each of these steps on one platform, so every reseller is handled the same way.
How do I onboard a new reseller in C3?
Validate the reseller's Partner of Record and MPN ID through Microsoft's POR validation API, create its billing profile, assign a reseller plan and decide whether its orders need your approval. The reseller can then create its own customers and start ordering.
What is Partner of Record (POR) validation for CSP resellers?
Partner of Record validation confirms a reseller's Partner of Record and MPN ID with Microsoft before you transact on its behalf. In C3 the check runs through Microsoft's POR validation API during reseller onboarding, and the results can be exported for your records, so every reseller in the channel is validated the same way.
Can I set different reseller prices for different Microsoft markets?
Yes. Reseller plans can be managed for each supported Microsoft market and priced with the Apply X% Margin on Partner Price macro. Plans can show prices in the plan currency or the customer currency.
How do distributors stop resellers being priced below cost?
Reseller plans are priced with the Apply X% Margin on Partner Price macro, so new prices land on your target margin. Plan-level sale price controls then block any price below partner cost and restrict prices above provider pricing, whoever builds or edits the plan.
Can I approve reseller orders before they go to Microsoft?
Yes. With Partner Approval Required turned on, purchases, quantity updates and subscription upgrades go through reseller approval and then partner approval, with notifications and audit logs at each stage.
Can resellers use their own PSA or billing systems?
Yes. Resellers can push billing data into ConnectWise, the Autotask integration supports resellers, and the Billing API is available to resellers. You can also exclude specific resellers from PSA exports. PSA integrations are premium add-ons.
How do I see which resellers are most profitable?
The Reseller Revenue & Cost Summary report shows revenue, cost and margin for each reseller and exports to CSV. The License Summary report, available to distributors, includes each reseller's customers for a seat-level view of the channel.
